Our Large Systems Gallery set up is still very much in progress, but if you visit this weekend we'd be happy to give you a sneak peek tour. In addition, you can see our progress on the KI10 restoration.
Wild. I just found a 23+ year old time capsule on the Internet.

Dear Fediverse! Being German, I'm quite familiar with German computer magazines. But not with the UK and US world. What were the “professional level” computer magazines in ca. 1980-2010 which wrote about enterprise IT, Unix, supercomputers, hardware? I'm NOT (yet) interested in software engineering or programming languages and also not very much in Linux.
I already know BYTE magazine, Unix Review and several 8bit related magazines. What else? #vintagecomputing #retrocomputing #techhistory

Ok now that's curious, watched the music video for "Dire Straits - Money For Nothing" and was like wow that's old what the heck did use to make that animation.
Turns out it was a Bosch FGS-4000, what a rabbit hole, looking up that system pretty much had no info to be found and not a single picture.
Now that would be a fun dive for any #vintagecomputing fan.
Only small info I could find was this thread:

Soll ich meinen #Amiga 1200 ...
I was really tempted by this Heathkit system at Free Geek Twin Cities today but I just don't need ANOTHER major project system added to my queue.
Decisions, decisions. Upgrade the Amiga 600 to Kickstart/Workbench 3.2.3 or downgrade to a more old school Amiga compatible 3.1? Pros and cons for both, I guess. It’s got a Furia in there and is currently running 3.2.1 quite happily. #Amiga #VintageComputing #RetroComputing #Commodore
I finally managed to repair my Amiga600’s disk drive today! Gave it a good clean and checked the alignment, too. I can play Turrican from disk again! Video coming soon. #Amiga #Commodore #Repair #RetroComputing #VintageComputing
