Yesterday and today's harvest.

Raspberry total is more than 2 liters now with a little bit I picked the other day when I also picked about a gallon of blueberries (not pictured). The first tomato picked yesterday and another today along with more zucchini/squash, beans, and some sweet Red Marconi peppers.

2 weeks ago I was worried about the health of this Parador F1 Courgette plant. It wasn't thriving, compared with its sibling plant, so I dug it up and inspected the roots. They were in poor condition with only a few short sections of healthy white root.

I put the plant in a pot of fresh compost. I cut off a tiny courgette that the poor plant was trying to grow. I wanted it to focus on recovery not growing fruit.

This morning I inspected the roots and was delighted to see how healthy they are. I've repotted it in a bigger pot as I don't have a lot of space in the border and I'm not sure if there's a problem with the soil there.

The plant has a cluster of tiny yellow courgettes which I will let grow.

Slugs! 😱
Not sure if it was a smart move to mow the pasture next to our vegetable garden. A full day of rain probably did not help either. About 8 liters of slugs figured they found a new forever-home in between potatoes and beans. We made that home be the woods about a mile away 😒

I grow 4 kinds of #sorrel on year round basis - common garden sorrel, Arctic dock, Belleville sorrel & Patience dock. The assorted sorrel salad greens pots are moved into small greenhouse in Winter. I do succession sowing every 2 weeks for continous harvest. I let the strongest plants go to seed & use those seeds to grow more.
