The largest #measles outbreak by far is in West #Texas, where the #disease is spreading quickly in remote, rural areas where the #vaccination rates are low. The outbreak has also spread across the boarder into #NewMexico, but the outbreak there is moving more slowly due to higher vaccination rates.
Business Insider reports — with a chart to demonstrate the point — that measles cases are "spreading exponentially" in the US right now.

Caroline Orr Bueno reports that ProPublica contacted the CDC to ask why it suppressed a report warning that the risk of measles is higher in areas near outbreaks where vaccination rates are lower.
CDC responded,
“The decision to vaccinate is a personal one." As Bueno notes, this echoes HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s own language about vaccination.
