This is a very important plan: see @petersuber 's post on plos.org/redefining-publishing here fediscience.org/@petersuber/11 Some not-disinterested commenters imply that there is no difference between Elsevier, Wiley and Springer-Nature on the one hand and PLOS on the other, and that it is not worth criticizing the conservative (aka #transformative) agreements with the former. But while the commercial publishers sit on their rents, PLOS seems to be able to address the issue of free public use of reason.
