I am very excited about Vacation Picard, this is the first embroidery I've worked on of my own creation in 2 years. It feels so good!!

I find this really moving. I think it's all these people expressing their stories, and deciding to put these stories next to others, so they coexist on this one piece of clothing? And it's not just someone else doing the collage, it's collaborative storytelling. It's powerful, and warm, and beautiful.
Thread art is amazing.
Stitching done, pencil marks are removed... and now I have to work out how the heck I smooth it all out and back it, and potentially make a load of tassels if I can be bothered!
The smaller details make so much difference, it feels like I've made progress! Still so much to do though!
More slow progress. Each big blue and green flower is taking me about 4 hours 
I really got to prioritise powering through this so I can work on new ideas 
It's been at this over a year now! It was originally going to hang in my old house over the stairs. I've since sold that house!
Spend ages embroidering petal but not be 100% happy with it.
Figure out a better, neater method on next petal.
Spent fucking forever carefully unpicking stitches on first petal.. because floss is a resource apparently more precious than your time, and you don't want to waste it.
Now re-embroider first petal.
