It's only Tuesday, but I'm already beat. I need power from Kengo and nature.

Passed this today, on another lovely long walk..

An old oak that has set up home in an older lime kiln, built into the slope of Cregiau Eglwyseg to produce material for local agricultural needs, out of the lime from the local quarries. In the front there is an arched stoke hole for the furnace

Gnarly old tree often seen while walking. Think it's an Oak. Several nice old oaks and black walnuts on either side of the road here

Rather a sad picture for #ThickTrunkTuesday but just shows the strength of the winter storms. On my walk last Friday I saw many fallen trees in the upland valleys - it looked like the winds had been funnelled. Most lifted at the roots but this one (oak?) was shattered. Maybe it already had a weakness, I don’t know.
