#tendonitis

(2/2) Each week for the next few weeks, I will share a little bit about my tendinitis story and share a few tips that helped me mitigate symptoms and get back to playing music.

I'm not a licensed medical professional in any way, but I do hope that by sharing my story, I can help someone dealing with something similar feel less alone :)

Just ranting a bit because it would appear that I have a tendonitis developing in my wrist and I've a work in progress that I really like and I can't really do anything properly and it's so annoying. Gonna have to rest my right hand for a couple of days to see if it goes away on its own, if it doesn't I have to go to the doctors which I don't love either. Bodies can be so annoying #ArtRant #tendonitis

Success! My first very short hike since beginning rehab on my feet. I hiked just under a mile in the nature preserve across the street from my house. It was a good test run. The mud and roots on this path usually make my Peroneal Tendinitis flare up but not today. I felt NO PAIN!!!

My Achilles Tendinitis is 95% healed as well.

Still no hiking but my Peroneal tendinitis and Achilles tendonitis is doing much, much better. Rest, ice, stretching, and better shoes is helping so far. Now I'm doing some exercises to strengthen the muscles and tendons (balancing on one leg and resistance bands).

I did so much with bad shoes and bad feet last year. I'm looking forward to what I will be able to do this year!

Ugh #tendonitis wants to take away most everything that brings me joy. Gave up learning guitar. Limit handwriting, fiber arts (handwork). Chopping veg. Yard work, house painting. Not picking up whittling any time soon. Changes how I have sex even.

Followed you bc I'd love to learn how others cope. I overdo it, am in pain for months, recover,go back into denial, over and over again.
