#Spiez in the early 2000s: pictured here are three #NS
carriages, a type MUn sleeper, a former “TUI Ferienexpress” couchette and a former DB “basic” couchette. Originating at Brig earlier that evening, they represent a portion of an overnight service to the #Netherlands.
Local webcam is looking especially nice today.
It is slowly becoming winter-like. After the temperature drop, also some snow until approx 1300 meter.

#Interlaken Ost station in February 2006. On the left: a #BLS Re4/4 electric with a push-pull service composed of BLS cars for #Zweisimmen. These locos can still be seen on #Lötschberg and #Simplon car carrying trains. On the right: a BLS RBDe4/4 compo with a local for #Spiez.
Seen yesterday at #Spiezstation: the gauge-changing #BLS #MOB #GoldenPassExpress, allowing passengers to travel from #Montreux to #Interlaken on metre gauge and standard gauge tracks without changing trains. This is a push-pull operation with the “Prestige” class cab car leading.
The "Panoramabrücke Sigriswil" is a suspension bridge (in the picture you can see it in the background) over the Guntebach between Aeschlen ob Gunten (on the left) and Sigriswil (on the right). It was a key part of the creation of the Panorama Trail around Lake Thun. It is 340 meters long and 182 meters high. It is the longest bridge on the trail.

The bridge is one of the film locations for the Korean hit-series "Crash Landing on You", so you can find quite some Asian tourists on the bridge. A full list of film locations in Switzerland for the series can be found here.

Easy hike from Aeschi back to Spiez. Only high up Niesen there is still some snow. Otherwise it is pretty autumn-like.
As I'm on-call duty this week, I had to stay closer to home. But this was not a downside as currently everywhere you look, it is just magnificent.
We went on a small "hike" on the Spiezberg overlooking Lake Thun. The location of the first picture (the panorama) is also my favorite location in the village for sunrise views.
