I think of Val Kilmer 1st in a 2004 David Mamet thriller: "Spartan." Kilmer is an old pro Marine called in when the President's kid (Kristen Bell, early on) is kidnapped at Harvard U. Mamet's terse dialog fits Kilmer's seasoned, committed character.

Tailing a suspect in Cambridge, telling his young partner (Derek Luke) to use windows:

"In the city, always a reflection. In the woods, always a sound."
"What about the desert?"
"You don't wanna go in the desert."

Please recommend a light-weight web browser for static sites with the following features:

1)Lightweight layout engine: not one of the Big Three.

2)Dark mode: I need all pages to show a dark background (preferably true black) with light text. No exceptions. If I encounter a page with light-themed CSS, I want some feature equivalent to the Dark Reader extension that major browsers have.

3)Graphical: I want to be able to navigate with a mouse, not just a the terminal.

4)Not developed primarily by a bigot. So no Pale Moon (and Pale Moon's Goanna engine isn't really lightweight, it's just slightly less heavy than the big three).

Also note that I'm specifically looking for a web browser with these criteria: for Gemini/Spartan/similar protocols I already have Lagrange.

I've been thinking about challenges for next year and ruling them out

#ToughMudder is a no because pipes and claustrophobia. #Hyrox is out because I'm not convinced I can do that much running. #Spartan looks like a possibility though but I'm a bit worried about the grip bars and 30 burpee penalties...

Do I know anyone who has done one? Or wants to next year?

Finished in the top 38%; it was a sprint course with obstacles. Had a blast.
