Manospondylus<p>In a funny turn of events, someone thought the crinoid barge I recently posted was a speculative idea made up by me and not something actually known from the fossil record. I guess Sussocaris has made people extra cautious about what is and isn’t real. </p><p><a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/fossil" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fossil</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/fossils" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fossils</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/Mesozoic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mesozoic</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/jurassic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>jurassic</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/stippling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>stippling</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/stipplingart" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>stipplingart</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/paleoart" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>paleoart</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/paleontology" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>paleontology</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/crinoid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>crinoid</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/crinoids" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>crinoids</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/sealilies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sealilies</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/ammonite" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ammonite</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/brachiopod" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>brachiopod</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/driftwood" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>driftwood</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/invertebrates" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>invertebrates</span></a></p>
Manospondylus<p>In the Mesozoic there existed so-called crinoid barges, which were formed by sea lilies attaching themselves to the bottom of floating tree trunks. Some like Seirocrinus could grow up to 26 metres tall. Such barges do not exist anymore today, as the evolution of shipworms has vastly reduced the amount of driftwood in the oceans. <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/fossil" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fossil</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/fossils" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fossils</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/Mesozoic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mesozoic</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/jurassic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>jurassic</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/stippling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>stippling</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/stipplingart" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>stipplingart</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/paleoart" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>paleoart</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/paleontology" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>paleontology</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/crinoid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>crinoid</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/crinoids" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>crinoids</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/sealilies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sealilies</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/ammonite" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ammonite</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/brachiopod" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>brachiopod</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/driftwood" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>driftwood</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/invertebrates" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>invertebrates</span></a></p>
