This morning at 8:00, #Rotterdam closed a crucial section of Meent, a very popular street in the city center, for cars. They deemed this necessary because the visiting public, bars, shops and residents got really annoyed by expensive loud cars that just wanted to show off. The street remains closed until 30 August and to make it better, the municipality is temporarily placing trees and other plants from the tree library on the closed street. In October a new plan to fight back against noisy and misbehaving cars in the city will also be presented.

This comes as NATO increasingly warn of risk of large-scale #war with Russia within 5 years

Europe's largest port prepares for NATO arms shipments, potential war with Russia

Is this being done as a precaution or do the port operators know more than they are letting on?
It will be exciting when NATO reserves large contingents of port space and logistics. Perhaps (!) the NATO countries have finally decided to provide Ukraine with sufficient support.
That would be a step in the right direction after all the years of hesitation.
Let's wait and see
