The fact that we still use a #QWERTY #keyboard (or #QWERTZ, or #AZERTY) is the proof that, no, #capitalism is not a system that allows a rational technological progress.
Not only these keyboards have no advantage for computers, but they were already bad for #typewriters. Already in the 1910s, #Remington knew that and thought about adopting a new one, but they feared the competition and never seriously dared to propose one.
So, when I heard that "AIs can't be that bad, or they wouldn't have that much commercial traction", I laugh.

Tho in terms of keyboards and layouts that is nowadays fixable and I've seen #Neo2 and #Dvorak as well as #ANSI - #QWERTY, #ISO - #QWERTY, ISO - #AZERTY, ISO - #QWERTZ and German Macintosh [yes, that's a different layout predating ISO-QWERTZ!] in the same room on different systems...
fortunately, SSH doesn't care about my setup.

Ruth Perez (17) liebte es, Musikfestivals mit ihrem Vater zu besuchen. So auch an jenem 07.10. Zuerst galt Ruth als entführt. Als man ihren ermordeten Vater zusammen mit ihrem Rolllstuhl fand galt sie als vermisst. Nun konnten israelische Helfer ihre Überreste identifizieren.
Auch Ruth viel den Schlächtern der #Hamas zum Opfer.

Der #Kopfklatsch #Moment des Morgens wenn du mit deinem #IT - #Kollegen darüber diskutieren musst, ob es WIRKLICH notwendig ist ein #Passwort mit mehr als 8 #Zeichen aus allen 4 #Zeichenarten zu verwenden.
Mantra: „Ooohhhhmmm! Ich empfehle nur, ich berate nur, ich KANN die Menschen nicht ändern.“
Vermutlich sollte ich dankbar sein, dass er nicht #123456 oder #qwertz nehmen wollte.
