These are better options when starting from the beginning, but we’re hundreds of workbooks in now and I need something (a formula) I can just drop in to be even remotely realistic in terms of feasibility.</p>

Wyn -Excel & Power BI<p>Not all solutions are equal.</p><p>I saw a single line of code on a forum the other week that solved someone's issue of replacing values using a Table with From &amp; To values. </p><p>It seemed B R I L L I A N T ! and so much simpler than List.Accumulate and other methods I've seen.</p><p>But... Colleagues have color-coded lines that are addressed, out of scope, or generic.</p><p>Obviously existing Excel formatting cannot be imported into <a href="https://toot.community/tags/PowerBI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PowerBI</span></a>, but is there a way for <a href="https://toot.community/tags/PBI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PBI</span></a> to access that formatting in <a href="https://toot.community/tags/PowerQuery" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PowerQuery</span></a> to apply a rule-driven value to each line, e.g. if hex code = FFFF000 then "Out of Scope"?
