A very common pant at the seaside, Sea Pink (Armeria maritima). This was on the island of Hirta, best known as "St Kilda". What is notable about Hirta, and the other islands in that little archipelago I imagine, is that there is virtually nowhere flat - i spent an age at this spot looking for somewhere to put my tripod, but there was nothing.
