IRAP<p>[Focus on the <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/EnVision" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EnVision</span></a> mission] Why have <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/Venus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Venus</span></a> and Earth evolved so differently? This is the question to be answered by the EnVision <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/SpaceMission" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SpaceMission</span></a> of the European Space Agency - ESA, scheduled for launch in 2031. </p><p>To this end, the European <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/probe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>probe</span></a> will carry several instruments - including an imaging <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/spectrometer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>spectrometer</span></a>, to which IRAP staff are contributing. Observations will be made in the UV and IR domains, in order to monitor temporal variations in <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/surface" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>surface</span></a> temperature and gas concentrations within the <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/atmosphere" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>atmosphere</span></a> - and thus gain a better understanding of interactions between the Venusian atmosphere and surface. </p><p>Info+: <a href="https://www.irap.omp.eu/event/the-envision-venus-mission/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">irap.omp.eu/event/the-envision</span><span class="invisible">-venus-mission/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/astrophysics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>astrophysics</span></a> <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/planetology" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>planetology</span></a> <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/spacemission" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>spacemission</span></a></p>
