TIL that you can tag sidewalk not connected with noexit / yes! #OSM

Continuing my discovery of the #OSM ecosystem, it seems that I am hitting a wall with respect to tiles. Are there any good resources to understand the difference between MapLibre, OpenMapTiles, MapTiler, etc?

I only discovered today there is a game called openguessr.com, which unsurprisingly is a version of geoguessr that never tries to make you pay. You can specify countries to guess. It still uses Google imagery though.

Ho installato l'app StreetComplete (https://streetcomplete.app) ed ho iniziato a mappare i luoghi che conosco bene.

In poche ore ho già messo un centinaio di contributi, giocando con la memoria. Quasi meglio della Settimana Egimnistica!

I somewhat reluctantly installed paid version of #TomTom Go app on #Android (it was on discount, probably as TomTom are on the ropes) I've got a few long drives coming up and #OSM lacks warnings of the average speed cameras on #A12 in #Essex (alas, I have 0 idea how to accurately add them or if you could even get the data from #NationalHighways (presumably it is possible as TomTom has them)

It works fairly well (other than missing route bar on #AndroidAuto which TomTom and Google are struggling to fix) and does pick up my POIs from existing Tomtom cloud.

I'm not sure of the future of the company, they laid off loads of their staff (probably where #MagicEarth, also based in NL is getting their devs from) and their website and update servers barely work. #GNSS #satnav

Lowkey don’t feel like organizing #OpenStreetMap events anymore…and it’s not the first time either.

The disinterest from people - even tech people - is getting to me.

Imagine messaging over 2000 OSM accounts and only getting like 5 RSVPs.

Or imagine over 80 people having attended ~20 of your events, but only 10 or so attending regularly, and the maximum participation you’ve ever seen is 15 people, and most people only attend once…

Betreibt hier jemand aus #Freiburg aktiv #OSMMapping und hat Lust auf einen größeren Änderungssatz am Theater?

Die Standard-#Fahrradnavigation von #OSMAnd dreht ab, und schuld ist nicht OSMAnd.
Der wesentliche Grund ist die falsche Platzierung und die fehlende #Radverkehrsfreigabe des Rechtsabbiegerpfeils. Da kommt dann aber noch ein Rattenschwanz dazu, und auch die Straßenführung südlich der Haltestelle von Linie 5 sollten mMn (habe ins Wiki geschaut und mit Fotos vom Platz verglichen) zwei Spuren außerhalb der Gleise sein.

Ich habe einen #OSM-Hinweis verfasst und in der Mitte der Kreuzung platziert.

Similar to how git apps have a way to view when a particular line of a file was last changed ('blame'), is there a way in #OpenStreetMap to easily view in which changeset a particular tag was changed? As opposed to clicking through each of the versions, or scrolling through the history that is...
