Looks sus.I just tried on an old Android, and I got a popup saying my files are not backed up and I should create an account.This behaviour does not happen if I charge over the micro usb from Linux.Because the phone is old, it did not activate Bluetooth as best as I can see via settings.The mystery is that this old phone does not have a SIM card, and is only being used over WiFi so unless the battery has a cell radio, I do not see how this setup could leak.Has anyone done a teardown of these battery chargers? It would not surprise me that there is a cell radio inside.Something is happening even though the phone is in Airplane mode. I can tell from the response times.It may be that the battery is trying continuously to break in.Another behaviour change. With the phone 'off' (cough), when charging, it shows the battery level.
