The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) has suspended the midwifery license of Maria Margarita Rojas, a Houston-area midwife accused of performing illegal abortions and operating clinics without a license.

This is an insane and sad story but at the end it had a suprising link to the abortion issue 40 years ago!

“Lemay was charged with criminal negligence causing death after a fetus died during delivery in 1985. She was found guilty in B.C. Supreme Court, but later acquitted on appeal after the Supreme Court of Canada ruled she couldn't be convicted because a fetus isn't a legal person.”
