Yes! Mijn #Meshtastic device is zichtbaar op de #Meshtastic Map. Het duurde even voordat ik snapte hoe ik de locatie via MQTT door kon geven.
Helaas ben ik wel nog steeds te ver verwijderd van de dichtstbijzijnde nodes om berichtjes te kunnen versturen.

Connected via USB and performed a config reset. Still going through reconfiguration, but at the moment, everything is working now.
Probably need to do the same for my solar node. But I want to finish an experiment running with it before I do that since it seems to be working on the mesh for now.

It seems Meshtastic 2.7.0 disabled the display on the T114.
Not really super important to me. But might bother some.
A #meshtastic message I received the other day. Obviously, a flight passenger sent this when on a plane above our sleeping room. 
I wrote a thread on meshtastic.
In short, it IS popular BUT is also an architectural nightmare, has extremely bad project leaders, and ALSO is a cybersecurity disaster waiting to happen.
Steer clear of metastatic in the long run. Do not use either for truly privacy required applications. They all have tracking & fingerprinting issues.
Genuinely impressed with #meshtastic thus far. I've got a pair of ThinkNode M2s, and the antennas that come with them are literally bits of printed circuit board, and yet they've managed to get a surprising bit of range (maybe 300m) out of them with suboptimal placement and no special care.
I can see that with a real antenna and an elevated position they'd go quite well.
@LillyHerself Old article and sadly, the linked project site is down. I'm guessing the project is dead? I could only find a repo that was as old as the article.
Maybe #meshtastic is the successor to this?

I have a #Meshtastic node in #DC now. I've only managed to pick up two other nodes so far (both mobile units), but I'll try to go up on the apartment roof later and see if I get more hits

You didn't get the point ... it's funny to play around with #Meshtastic ( I'm operating some nodes myself since long, though the communication - I see ~100 nodes - is more than boring), but one should understand, that it's completely unreliable and easy to jam ...

Ethical #hackers love #Meshtastic, but demonstrated how easy it is to knock nodes offline by spamming the #beemovie script at the #LayerOne conference.
This attack is stupid simple, but without a real defense against it, users should never rely on Meshtasic for anything life-critical.
