If you are new to <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a>, DO NOT try to start with <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Arch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Arch</span></a>. You will bounce off of it like a ping pong ball and then you will have a bad first impression. It is a hobbyist do-all myself kind of operating system. Not consumer grade. Choose a Linux which will do most of the stuff automatically for you, and protect you from some of your choices, like <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Ubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ubuntu</span></a>, <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Kubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Kubuntu</span></a>, or <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/LinuxMint" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LinuxMint</span></a>. If you want the newest software, try <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Manjaro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Manjaro</span></a> instead.</p>
