Sam Levine
I usually run reaction in an ice water bath with a micro fiber towel under the bath to collect the condensation and avoid getting water all over the stir plate/hood. Today's reaction involved going from 0C to 80C and when I swapped the bath type (ice to lab armor) I forgot to remove the towel.

Just got back from lunch and a perfect circle has been melted out of the towel. And I might have glued the glass crystallizing dish to the surface of my nice hot plate with melted plastic (microfiber towel).

ARG!!!

#LabLife #Chemistry
