My April socks have started early. I love this rainbow ombre yarn. It brightens my day, and helps me forget that it is still snowing. The yarn colour is called Harmony, and they are a birthday gift for a May birthday.

These socks are done. I'm happy to move the tutorial file to the "Done" folder. I bought it almost a year ago and started to think I'd never make them.
I finished my February socks ( on March 1). Close! I grafted the toe on the second sock, this morning, and now they are ready to wear. The pattern is "Trailblazer Socks" by Winwick Mum. It is free on her website.

The yarn is TurtlePurl Yarn from New Brunswick, in Cannonball.

Ma mère me fait des Paradiesvogel de Scarlett Plume. L'échantillon est faux mais je ne trouve nulle part la correction dans les notes ou les commentaires de ravelry en français et anglais. Quelqu'un parle allemand pour vérifier l'original ?
My mother made Paradiesvogel socks from Scarlett Plume for me. Gauge is false but there is no revision in French or English note. Is there somebody to check the geman version ?
Important question for the sock knitters: How many pairs of hand knit socks should I have? Since they need to be hand washed, what is the optimum number?
I am still not sure about the best way to cast on a cuff down knitted sock. I tried different cast ons but I am never really happy with it. Sometimes it is a bit tight, but neat, other times it is loose enough, but not so neat. And of course I want it to be perfect: easy to put on and great looking
What way do you prefer to cast on your cuff down knitted socks? And what about needle size (bigger or the same as the other parts of te sock)?
My long socks are done! I love these colors, this yarn, this project. If this wasn't my "year without buying yarn" I'd have bought more colors.
I ditched the idea of making a heel called Strong and made my usual boomerang. Happy with how the stripes look here.
Not much progress this week. Several projects on hold. Still knitting long socks (started the second yesterday) and Paul Scarf (already done all the increases). I also made a simple dress for a doll.

So, this is really surprising to me, but today was a very productive day. I'm working on 4 projects:
1. Paul Scarf from the English tutorial on Ravelry. Oh my god, that's... unusual (more on that next time).
2. Started new socks because I want to try a new heel in a quick-knit yarn. I don't usually need a gusset, so I like the boomerang heel, but it doesn't look good with the striped yarn from the previous post.
3. Crochet squares according to plan: 4 left. Yesterday I hid the ends from the center, today I'm doing my first attempts at washing and blocking.
4. The tank top I knitted on the knitting machine, washed and blocked.
Start a new sock project. But didn't take into account that I want to try a new type of heel. I usually knit new types of heels in home socks. It probably makes sense to start another pair for this purpose.
It was a bit of a faff, but 2 sort of matching socks that fit successfully have been achieved.
Figured out why the '48 rows' stuck in my brain - it's the number of rows for the leg. Sort of going on auto rather than completely lost my mind.

Finies tard hier soir... mais prêtes à temps pour être offertes !! #tricot #tricoter #tricoterseschaussettes #faitmain #handmade #knit #knitting #knitters #knittingsocks #knittingmakesmehappy
I thought about this type of socks for home for a long time. They are warm, easy to put on and take off. Next time I will make some adjustments.
I use 8-ply yarn for the socks.
First sock!
Now to...do it all over again. Definitely gotta find someone with smaller feet to continue practicing these skills. takes forever with my pontoons.
