Keith Haring Exhibition • Peterson Automotive Museum

Keith Haring is an idol of mine, and it’s not solely because of his aesthetics, but how he created his art unbounded and with many mediums. He was an early advocate for HIV awareness, and later on anti-segregation. His art reached pop culture status, but the themes behind it were much deeper, as he told a story of resistance.

Saw the Keith Haring exhibit at #MoPOP today. I liked the one I saw last summer in Minneapolis a whole lot more, sadly. This one mostly looked at the Pop Shop and how he interacted with commercial art, there was barely a mention of his work on ACT UP, and a single piece about Silence = Death. I was hoping to see The Great White Way again, or some of his safe sex messaging, but nope. #KeithHaring #ActUp

This painting of #keithharing is today even more true, then in the 80s. Sure, #donaldtrump copied everything from #ronaldreagan, including his phrase to "make Amerika great again". So nothing new so far, as sad as it is. But he is in office less than a week. So what do you think, what will happen with #Projekt2025 ? Are the #USPolitics really on the edge of a #theocracy?
