La cerámica representa un nexo cultural entre los pueblos mediterráneos.
Es una pena ver cómo las tiendas de souvenirs para turistas están llenas de cerámicas industriales, de dudosa calidad y gusto, "inspiradas" en Gaudí y sin relación alguna con la auténtica cerámica andaluza, junto a mantones de poliéster made in China y abanicos de colores chillones. Mientras, en Triana solo queda un artesano manteniendo viva la tradición de una de las cerámicas más reconocibles y valoradas.
