Nearly all my friends at CDCs injury center have been RIFd this morning. Not sure what the next few weeks or months will hold for these actions, but anyone able to hire these folks couldn’t ask for a more intelligent, hard working, humble group of people. (Please don’t hire them if you are an asshole company.) It is a major loss to the US. #USpol #CDC #Injuryprevention

After Nashville Shooting, Democratic States Push for New Gun Restrictions

"Firearms play a central role in this crisis. They are the leading cause of death among youths aged 1 to 19 years and accounted for nearly half (47.8%) of the increase in all-cause mortality in 2020."

Wow. You mean guns basically contributed to increased deaths MORE than COVID (20.5%)??? 😬😳

But you know, you do you.

Indeed. I'm tripping on this recent Vox story with a pretty compelling degree of data on this subject.

I mean - I didn't need to be true convinced of this issue... but it's still scary to see the data like this.
