Temps de mise en route/génération : 30 minutes

Il est reparti pour des années. il fera un ou une heureuse.

Il y a pléthore d'Imac frappé par l'obsolescence programmée dans le "bon coin", pour des prix ridicules. Profitez en.

Je vais chercher un Imac 2015 16GO/SSD/core i5 21 pouces la semaine prochaine pour ma compagne (pour 150 euros...).

Very impressed so far with #OpenCoreLegacyPatcher. I installed it on my old 2015 iMac who's internal drive struggled to boot, giving the spinning rainbow cursor constantly.

I've just put Sequoia on an external SSD and it runs nearly as well as my M3 iMac.

Only downside so far is despite following all instructions for getting Universal Control working, I can't 🙁 and it's a really neat feature.

Ideas about how best to get rid of an old ~ iMac (2004, running OS 10.5.8) in West Wales? Still works fine, although hasn’t been connected to the internet for years.

Will anyone want it for free, e.g. to put Linux on? Or are we best off taking it back to Apple for recycling?

#TIL If you ever wanted to have a hashtag directly followed by other letters like in #HashTags are great (notice that the s is not part of the hashtag), you can add a zero width space (#Unicode U+200B).

While on macOS and iOS this is doable but not very easy, in Linux I just hold ctrl+shift while entering u200b and then releasing ctrl-shift.

Another advantage of giving my old #iMac an new #Linux life.
