I can't believe I'm saying this but imagine Sisters of Mercy having a child with black metal and early Metallica: this is the child.

It freaking works! Just check the first song that's eleven minutes long. Dramatic, changing, evolving. The guitars have that black metal dissonance but also a kind of goth tone while being ultra-distorted. The song is mostly old-school black metal (screams, growls) but at times goes falsetto. IT WORKS. There are some synths thrown in, too.

This is great. I can't believe I've not heard these peeps before.

So #Moonspell's singer said in the show last Saturday that their 2026 album will be more #goth.

With new bands from old veterans like Cemetary Skyline and High Rise, Tribulations new album and new bands like Dark Driven (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDnXumjPA6s), I feel like 90s style goth rock/metal is having a new renaissance.

A great Sunday spin, with a good balance of the doom + gloom Robert Smith, & the catchy, sunny Bob.

I always forget how great “Six Different Ways” is until I hear it again.
Definitely should have been a single.
