They were often beautifully embroidered and looked a lot like snakes. My current, first, project is all <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/garter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#garter</a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/stitch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#stitch</a>. Since then, I've marked some patterns that involve only <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/knit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#knit</a> / <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/purl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#purl</a> combinations for a <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/blanket" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#blanket</a> for my cat. Another challenge I have is wanting to try different combinations of knit-purl, but not knowing if it'll look weird. For example, if I choose to repeat {k7, p5, k2}, I would have no clue what that would look like after a handful of rows, especially for projects of different width/cast-on length. I think this would be an amazing tool. I guess most people just prefer to knit various patterns made by others, but I find myself attracted to understanding the way the fibres interact and weave. I'm not sure if there's a term for this...I'm currently too busy to even knit more than one row of my blanket, so I haven't had any time to work on such a <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/script" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#script</a> / <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/program" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#program</a>, but maybe once I have more of a 9-5 style job...

Haelus NovakBeen working on my second skein of my kinda shoddy garter blanket. I like the colour combo well enough. But I have new yarn in a bulky or super bulky weight that is really soft and I keep eying it because I plan on it being a smaller final product.
