I also said “long run” and “sooner or later” for sustainability of the #freeloader model.

There will always be small instances that are true labor of love, powered by altruism or charitable donations.

But for truly global scale, somebody other than mega corps run by billionaires have to foot the bill on a regular subscription basis if we have to avoid the fate of ad-driven web. Perhaps government?

I want input from everyone! Running through my feed, I come across a post from someone who is "disabled" and "living in deep poverty." They ask for help and have an Amazon wish list, so I go in to take a look. A $400 dining room set, 3D printer filament, $400 dishwasher, $45 key holder and much more. WTF?

I see a lot of people on here asking for handouts, but this beats them all. Am I being too harsh?
