Ich hatte #netguard ebenfalls ausprobiert. Bietet vom Ansatz her natürlich die grössere Freiheit alles zu blocken. Allerdings gefällt mir beim #DuckDuckGo App Tracking Blocker der Automatismus hinter den Blocking-Listen.
Leider werden hier sog. 1st class Tracker wie z.B. Google oder WhatsApp (Meta) nicht blockiert, da sonst die Benutzung der entsprechenden Apps nicht mehr gewährleistet wäre.
Hier wünsche ich mir eine Kombination von #DuckDuckGo und #netguard. Man kann aber beide nicht zusammen benutzen, da sie sich über einen virtuellen VPN-Adapter in die Netzwerkverbindung einschleifen. Und davon kann es nur einen geben.
Vielleicht ein Verbesserungsvorschlag für #netguard ?

I see growing number of signals about radical people being rapidly and forcibly deplatformed (one could say "cancelled") by mainstream. Here is a prominent case:

James' store was shut down. Social media accounts banned. Payment processors pulled out, banks refused to work with him.
Now, isn't fediverse a place, where such persons could (and should) be welcome? With a little bit of communal knowledge and support we can start finding instances, where those prosecuted by the Trump mafia state could publish in peace, beyond #MuskRats' ability to reach them (at least easily).
These are people the fediverse is invented for, aren't they.
Let's start from listing (or creating) some instances willing and able to help. Any suggestions?

In the worst case scenario, how do we maintain remote communication assuming access to established networks are totally controlled, or those facilities themselves have been destroyed?
Some other cool places are ofc Research Gate, and Academia(.)edu J-stor... There's others that need to be shared with caution like Sci-Hub, unpaywall, but those are already terrific ressources to access knowledge on a wide range of subjects and languages #freeinternet #research #paywalls

September 28th is International Day for Universal Access to Information. This UN designated day is intended to create awareness that all countries should provide unrestricted access to the internet. Citizens in repressive countries should know how they're being repressed. Canada has also set targets for connecting all of us to the internet and driving down costs.
