"iDollATea" teableau for 04/26/25

These real linens are from an old upholsterer's sample book. It was an undertaking to get the very long iron staples out of the binding, and a real chore to remove the gluey- tape that further attached the fabric pages. Worth it, though.

"Morning Song" teableau for 04/23/25

Because the dark must always end.

Simple tea tableau with vintage china covered in a design of tiny bouquets of roses, violets, Forget-Me-Nots, and pansies, with a matching napkin. The cup and saucer sit in the middle of a wreath of appliqued tulips on a white cloth. There is a yellow ceramic bird raising its beak in song. The small teapot is light green with yellow handles and spout and orange knob and turquoise feet; it is covered in delicate black text in various fonts using words that end with t, e, a, as puns such as affinitea, hospitalitea, generositea, creativitea, prosperitea, and so on. The tea today is Tippy Yunnan black loose leaf from Harney and Sons.
