Some of you might already be hip to reaction videos, but everyone has their favorite reactors. These guys are mine and this reaction to 'ANDOR' episode 8 is exactly why. I saw other reactors not getting it, but these guys GET IT.

Best reactors on #Youtube, if that's your thing. If you don't watch reactors, that's cool too. I just find stuff like this cathartic. 🥰

Kind of tired/dragging all day today and I'm blaming it on Andor. Disney releasing three hour-long episodes at 9pm on a Tuesday is less than optimal. They're great and I want to watch them all immediately, but even if you start watching the moment they go live that's still midnight by the time you finish.

I'd rather not have to worry about dodging spoilers if I wait.

2 would be fine, or 3 on a Fri/Sat night. But during the week, 3 is rough. Or release earlier.

This is the arc I've been looking for.

Episode 9 rounds out the set very well, even with the escape sequence.

The way Cassian is framed after listening to Bix was the kind of shot I was expecting, particularly after the scene in Niamos with Melshi after Narkina 5.

Though not as intense as episode 8, there was still a strong sense of heartache, knowing how Cassian's story ends.

B2EMO and Bix have two of the saddest Cassian stories of Andor.

Episode 8 is the most gut wrenching episode of the entire series, so far.

Luthen's sacrifice monologue and Marva's Fuck the Empire (original, Disney-killed, exhortation) from season 1 were great, deeply emotional, moving moments, but this episode hit harder and more deeply in an entirely different way.

It's melancholic rather than profound or inspiring; my heart is heavy.

The second half of this season is delivering.

Episode 7 is exactly what I was hoping for in this season. Smart, grounded, mostly trope-free, and logical throughout.

Even the introduction of The Force into the series was done in a way that's true to life, and not overdone.

I'm really hoping the rest of the second half of this season stays on this track.

I have only seen Series 1 & 2 so far, so NO SPOILERS BEYOND THAT!

I have rarely been so impressed as I am with the quality of writing and production for this series. Viola Davis’ acting is especially nuanced and multi-levelled, with colours being employed in a complexity that is occasionally gasp-inducing.

The students become better as the first year progresses, with them all being quite excellent by this point.

Very highly recommended!

To be fair, I still find Andor to be by far the best Star Wars storytelling, ever.

It's realistic, mature, and mostly not about action sequences but rather human behavior and the true costs of oppression and the fight against oppression.

I love the nuance and details of the story, but this season has more overused story beats than the first season, and that's what's bothering me.

Overall, still great and highly recommended.

The second 3 episode arc of this second season of Andor is less satisfying than the somewhat disappointing first arc.

The pattern seems to be 2 episodes of buildup and one of resolution, which is fine, theoretically.

While episode 3 was excellent, episode 6 is marred by the "person who didn't follow instructions getting someone killed", a much too convenient, unearned revenge scene, and barely managed high stakes switch tropes.

Lazy and bad all around. Damn🙁
