Earlier this week, I was invited to give an talk on image processing techniques to a small group of senior-level engineers who work in a "certain sector". When I opened up the floor for questions, one audience member immediately shot a question at me. I shushed him, and whispered, "Not here man. Reach me on #Signal." The small room erupted.

OK, that was not at all original and a low-blow at best. But that still gave me a certain amount of satisfaction.

Such little #digs are good for this underdog's soul. The underpaid archaeologists might well be the most contented people.

Did my first post-winter walk-around assessment of our community garden on the hospital rooftop. Lots to do, but doable. The shed looks good, after I restocked it last year on a city grant. I'm going to start organizing volunteers for a spring work party.

We founded the Downtown Intercultural Community Garden in 2011, and it has thrived all these years, but the pandemic has been our biggest challenge. Let's give it another go this year. #CommunityGarden #UrbanGarden #DIGS #Vancouver
