While taking backroads along the western front range of the Wind Rivers in Wyoming I came across an abandoned sheep shearing barn. There were lots of Basque names and drawings (those who know, know what kind of drawings) on the beams inside the building dating as far back as 1935.
This evening's campsite view: The western slope of the mighty Wind River Range in Wyoming.
Boating on the White River
I shot this with mist rising off the river just south of Beaver Dam, Arkansas. The processing is pretty out of my normal wheelhouse. What do you think of it? Would you tweak it and how?
Nikon Z7ii with Nikkor Z 14-30. Postprocessing in Darktable.

En kuse dyker upp i #DoorsDay denna dag.
Written in the top left corner: "Printed 1895 by Chief Washakie, a buffalo hunt in his lifetime." Washakie (c. 1806-1900) was a leader of the Shoshone people. (Fort Bridger Museum, Wyoming, 7/9/2025.)

Playing around with post processing to make the photo look old. Ya, the bikes are new models, but the rural bar with the '60s Mustang parked in front, well, I just had to soften and sepia tone the photo.

Lol--as an art framer (retired) I was freaking drooling when I saw this giant pile of old weathered barn wood!
What a spectacular location for a petroglyph! According to the information kiosk, this rock imagery was likely created by the Shoshone in the 18th century. This is in Wyoming. Very different looking imagery here in the North Country compared to the imagery I'm most familiar with in the Four Corners region. Always, when enjoying cultural sites, please #VisitWithRespect.
