Lots of daffodils are blooming and grass is green again. We are definitely in spring now here.

And yes, I started the day this morning getting my jeans muddy on the slope across the road from Stocking Hall to get these daffodils with that building in the background
That thing where flowers were planted long ago in what is now woods and whoever planted them is probably long gone but they go on blooming every year among the trees because that’s what they do. #BloomScrolling #flowers #daffodils

But we are definitely 2 to 3 weeks later than 2024
We may be at "peak daffodil" at the moment. They *all* look happy, healthy, and beautiful.

EDITED: Whoops! I left one out! I meant 25 varieties!
Few more pics. When we moved in (2012) there was maybe half what we have now. I’ve just kept splitting and moving the clumps around, spreading them throughout the entire wooded area. Definitely need to do some more of that again. I keep saying I want to add more variety but I never get around to that. The wooded area used to be full of honeysuckle which I ripped out. (Please excuse the mossy yard, too much shade.)
Daffodils out back are also poppin’!
Right now we have the mini white ones and the white ones with the yellow center. The double “fluffy” peach ones and the standard yellow ones are all spent. I don’t see any of the mini yellow ones yet, which we also usually have. I think they bloom last.
It’s hard to see just how many we have— but there’s literally over 100 separate clumps back here (I counted twice and got 110 and 114 lol, it’s difficult to keep track).
#Spring has been late this year, but it's finally time for some #bloomscrolling! #Hyacinths and #daffodils aplenty, and the tulips are on their way.
Another not so nice day. Some more tulips are slowly opening up. #slowBurn #bloomscrolling #tulips #daffodils
