But what if it's proposed for 6 blocks on a secondary street with enough space for safe cycling infrastructure? Lies about the proposal, lawn signs demanding bike lanes *not* be installed for "safety", and petitions which say making drivers look for pedestrians+cyclists+drivers is too much work.
