Picked a little bit today.

Found some squash bug eggs on a leaf of the summer squash this morning. Removed them with some duct tape which works really good. When I was picking squash and zucchini I saw this! Eggs on the zucchini. The sticky tape worked good on these too.

Intense excitement in our house tonight when I lost but then found a #courgette

The unpollinated squash and zucchini that I harvested today along with the small peppers and green tomatoes off the extra plants in pots. There are some male flowers that will be open soon so should get some meal sized veg after the weekend.

I've seen and killed a couple of squash bugs elsewhere in the garden but no signs of them laying eggs on these. I do have marigolds around them so maybe that's helping.

A Siamese twin of yellow #courgette from the garden with shallots, orzo pasta, turmeric, lemon & stock in a pimped version of Nigella’s happiness soup. Served with a hunk … but if I’m not available, some wholemeal sourdough will do. Also a side of home cold-pressed pear, carrot, orange bell pepper & red grapefruit juice.
