Am Dienstagabend war ich im Cloud Forest der Gardens by the Bay.
Hier sind Pflanzen aus aller Welt zu finden, sie in sogenannten Wolken- und Nebelwäldern heimisch sind.
For #TravelTuesday here's some cloud forest in Costa Rica from last year. We made it to and across that bridge pictured. Not scary. The viper we came across: also not scary. The tarantula webs around holes that our guide kept peering into: a tad scary.
Another highlight of #Singapore 
was the #CloudForest which featured a huge artificial waterfall inside a “bio dome” (I am not sure if that is the correct term, but it was like a massive greenhouse with various plants inside).

My brief visit to #CostaRica, my mother's birthplace, almost 30 years ago, was at the start of the #ecotourism trend described in this article, and was nothing at all like the author's experience.
We stayed in #SanJose, but I did visit the #CloudForest (and a river tour and my then third #volcano, #Arenal). It is a beautiful country.
The #ferns especially struck me as #primeval; I imagined dinosaurs eating or wading through them, they were so massive.

Chatting with someone on Instagram who's currently very near where we visited in Costa Rica three weeks ago and who's had more stationary hummingbirds to photograph. Our flying friends were decidedly more zippy-all-over-the-place and this is probably the best of the photos I managed to snap in the cloud forest.

#TravelPhotography from #OnThisDay in 2019 when we found ourselves hiking through the cloud forest at the top of a volcanic rim in #Nicaragua. This is the #Mombacho #Volcano and this lovely bit of lush, dense foliage provided some cool relief from the warmth of the day and that of the heat coming from the volcano's fumaroles that we'd put our hands into. Great views of Lake Nicaragua from the summit too. Hard work, though.
