I'm still annoyed that it was done to me without my consent & made sure that my son was not mutilated in this way. When the attending physician (a woman) who assisted in the birth of my son asked if I wanted him circumcised or not. I said "No" and she said "Good!!!"

At a local café and the staff were talking in support about Hadachek v. Oregon and Intact Global's challenge to expand protection from child genital cutting to all children including preventing circumcision of boys and intersex surgeries.
People are talking in support of genital autonomy this is not a fringe issue, less than 1 in 10 children are genitally cut in Oregon, and Oregonians are happy to fight for the rights of all children!
I shared more info with them such as our search for a plaintiff who has experienced intersex related genital cutting in Oregon.

Portland, Oregon really became my home because we also talk to neighbors here, and we know them. We know that they’re exceptionally diverse, and I believe we’re proud to fight for human rights because we know that. [Pause]

# Hadachek v. Oregon Intact Global 2025 Press Conference
Please let me know if you find more news coverage on this. We at the Genital Autonomy Collective spoke about intersectionality at the Intact Global 2025 press conference and hopefully some of the news will also mention that. The Hadacheck v. Oregon case will expand opportunities for trans, intersex, and gender diverse people in ways that more people need to be aware of. Circumcision impacts gender affirming surgery options, and impacts our freedom as well, and we're fighting with the broader genital autonomy movement for our shared rights.

"Genital cutting is often talked about in the categories of male, female, and intersex, but those categories are not distinct in reality. People inherently defy those arbitrary boundaries. Because of this, many of the children assigned male at birth and subjected to penile circumcision, or other childhood genital cutting, are transgender, intersex, and otherwise gender-diverse
... Circumcision, by removing genital tissue and creating scars, physically limits options for adults seeking genital surgery. This stands in the way of our freedom to make the choice for ourselves as adults just like it does for boys and men. Intact Global is also looking for Intersex plaintiffs who have experienced Intersex related genital cutting in Oregon at any date to add to the Equal Protection Challenge against forced, non-religious genital mutilation. As well as trans plaintiffs who have experienced penile circumcision in Oregon to add to the legal challenge.

So important to know your number. Be #foreskin or #circumcision style aware. I was a +3 until age 27 and now I’m a drum tight -3. I’ve finally been #CircumPerfected !

@timo21 I'd be happy if its "Just human rights". Since the woke agenda totally failed to universally label the "my body my choice" movement for all genders. It's. Not just human rights, it's rights for a specific group of people.
This makes me still fight for my own rights, while the woke people are more than happy with that.

I don't pretend to understand #Irish law but it is very common for #Muslim parents to hire a #Jewish #mohel to perform their child's #circumcision.
I've avoided this story because I don't know the law at all there but here is a take from a traveling mohel.
Intactivism subreddit owner is taking an explicitly anti-intellectual turn. They (this moderator) banned me a few weeks ago for asking him if he's considered that transgender circumcision sufferers may be affected differently than cisgender sufferers.
