scattershot<p>Happy (?!) ME/CFS Awareness Day. </p><p>Happy what? Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.</p><p>Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? Yes. </p><p>Tired all the time? Yes. </p><p>Surely rest will help you get better? No. </p><p>How about graded exercise therapy? No. </p><p>What other symptoms are there? Brain fog, upset stomach, exhaustion, aches and pains, intolerance of loud noises and bright lights. And more. <br> <br>So doctors know what causes it? No. </p><p>Surely they’re doing research? Also no. </p><p>Probably because not many people suffer from it? About 1% of the UK population? Not counting those with Long Covid. Which is similar. If you want to include them, just add another 2 million people. </p><p>Is there funding? Not really. Less than hayfever research. </p><p>What’s the economic burden of ME/CFS in the UK? £3.3 billion [1]</p><p>Is there a cure?
