While we were going through the Quad Cities area a few days ago, I wanted to stop at the Co-Op Records in Moline. When I went there before the owner gave me the Miracle Legion cassette I was grabbing for free because it was genuinely excited to see a (relatively) younger fan of the band.
Grabbed these three cassettes and a CD of Lissie’s “why you runnin’” e.p. (She’s from quad cities and I haven’t owned a physical copy of it before).
Funny thing is that I went in actually really hoping to find a copy of the Best of the Doobies on cassette because it’s a great driving release. Not entirely sure why Warner flipped the A side and B Side for the cassette versus vinyl release (which the CD and digital versions are also based on).
The Hendrix cassette is hella rad. The track listing is super legit. Absolutely stacked. it’s also the first cassette that I’ve ever come across that has a stapled together booklet (like a CD) as a part of the J Card.
The Jaco one I almost missed because it was displayed up above the rest of the cassettes with a few others. I actually had to have the thankfully tall manager cashier dude grab it for me.
