I loved this scenic view in Capitol Reef National Park because of all the layers of flora and rock formations from a foreground of shrubs and grasses to distant background red rock cliffs. The scene shows the rugged beauty of the desert environment.

@Adamk0310 @oheso I had an opportunity to see one while hiking in #CapitolReef National Park in #Utah. Couldn’t have been 10 feet away!
Majestic sunrise.

True gold, the real gold
Isn't a cold, hard metal,
But glows with rich warmth.
Nature's greatest gifts -- sunlight, water, clean air, quiet, calmness, and the stateliness of trees -- are there for all to enjoy.

One of our best drives in US national parks is the drive in the Cathedral District in Capitol Reef National Park in Utah. We did this drive in 2018. It’s in a remote area of the park. It has lots of interesting landscapes and rock formations. You should have a high clearance, four-wheel drive vehicle and 6-8 hours to do the drive.
Went with my family this past week and a half to the Big Five national parks in Utah. It was an amazing trip, and we are all very tired. It involved something like 25 hikes, with several of them being more than 6 miles in length. I'm no longer a spring chicken, so this was quite a lot of walking, climbing, and clinging to cliffs. #ZionNationalPark #Arches #CapitolReef #BryceCanyon #Canyonland
We started in Zion NP, where strangely, it was raining.
The roads get windy, but if you stay on them long enough there's usually something cool at the end.
