#GeneralMills has showered giveaways on registered #dietitians who promote its cereals w/the hashtag DerailTheShame, & #sponsored #influencers who promote its sugary snacks. The co also enlisted #lobbyists & pushed back against fed policies that would add #health info to #FoodLabels.

…Online dietitians—many of them backed by food makers—also are building lucrative followings by co-opting #AntiDiet msgs. Anti-diet hashtags…have proliferated on #SocialMedia.

Here are some great New Year Resolutions of improved health is your goal this year:
- get enough sleep
- hydrate
- schedule time to be creative or quiet or whatever it is you need (no, actually schedule it)
- set appropriate boundaries to protect yourself
- be thankful about 5 new things each day
- start an herb garden
- learn how to cook with fresh herbs
- find your favorite neighborhood plant and take lots of pictures of it (my example below)

Topping blueberry scones with a mix of lemon zest and sugar is a very good idea.

My littlest helped. For him it was a fun time hanging with me and playing with dough.
The subversive message I’m sending him through cooking together is:
- Food is more than fuel. And that’s awesome.
- All food belongs. We can enjoy all kinds of flavors through the day.
- I trust him to help with such an important task!
