Samsung Galaxy A07 official images and specs revealed by Google Play Console

Samsung Galaxy A06 was released last August with One UI 6.1 to provide users with an entry-level phone. Since then, it has been updated to One UI 7.0 to let users access the new features that it provides, such as the Now Bar. While One UI 8.0 is in the works, Samsung has been spotted working on the upcoming Galaxy A07 entry-level phone, and the first official image has been uploaded to the Google Play Console.

We now have preliminary information about this smartphone. The model numbers for the Galaxy A07 are SM-A075F and SM-A075M, and it has 6 GB of RAM. It has a MediaTek MT6789V/CD (Helio G99) SoC that provides the ARM Mali G57 GPU clocked at 1068 MHz and the octa-core processor with two ARM Cortex-A76 (2200 MHz) and six ARM Cortex-A55 (2000 MHz) processors.

The screen size is 720×1600 on portrait mode, and the screen density is 300 dpi, which makes sure that the UI looks sharp. The camera island has changed, with the actual oval-shaped island that holds the two cameras together; there are no separate circles.

Additionally, One UI 7.0 will be used on this phone instead of One UI 8.0, and it will receive six years of security updates and six generations of One UI updates.

Apple, Can we get multiple users please? Thank you

to expand on this request - Apple, thank you for adding "Require FaceID" functionality. I think the feature works well in a pinch if its something that doesn't need to be installed in its own space. that being said, I do think apple should take things further *while still keeping the basic "require FaceID" functionality and add a separate, more comprehensive setup for folks who want the extra data separation.

To expand on the topic a bit, some phones already have a feature called "multiple users". on a phone, however, its sort of a misnomer because the feature is meant more for "multiple personal spaces" for a *single user* to be able to add and setup a few separate spaces for app/data separation for *only them*. and that's fine, but I think apple could innovate in this area and take what pixel does, but take it further, using their software prowess to help users with screen time. Also, on pixel, while there is a toggle to enable sms text messages to work in all the different users, the feature sometimes feels like maybe it doesn't work properly. that's another area where maybe apple can innovate and fix.

also, within the last year, Google added the ability to setup private space when still logged in to the default user. it works great, but I think again, apple could take that functionality and go further. one thing that could be improved is accessibility of getting to the private space itself. currently you have to scroll all the way down your app drawer to get to it, but apple could innovate a bit and give users the option to enable a launcher icon for quick access to private space, if desired.

Also, all of this doesn't have to *replace* the "Require FaceID", which still works well in instances where getting into a whole other "space" isn't required. But again, would be a solution for those of us who want a more comprehensive solution.

Samsung Galaxy A05 gets the One UI 7 update!

We are excited to announce that starting from today, users can now download the One UI 7 update to their Galaxy A05 smartphones as Samsung has finally released this exciting version of One UI. Your Galaxy has now become more powerful, amazing, and gorgeous as One UI 7 brings more powerful features and a redesigned appearance consisting of a simple, impactful, and emotive design.

Please note that only Thailand and Vietnam have been selected as the first countries to obtain this update. However, the rollout will expand soon. This is going to be the last update for this phone series.

Please refer to news sources, such as SamMobile and Sammy Fans, for more rollout news for further devices (we will only cover A55, A35, A25, and A05 [A04e, A04, and A04s are not eligible]).

The firmware information states:

You can see the overview of what One UI 7 brings in the above linked article at the bottom section. Meanwhile, you can see a two-minute video trailer for One UI 7 highlighting its biggest features here.

https://youtu.be/P4AEIu3V6F4

To obtain the update, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Navigate to Software Updates
  3. Tap on Download and Install
  4. Wait until you see One UI 7 at the top of the page, then tap on Download
  5. Wait for the download to complete, then tap on Install

After you perform the above steps, your phone will be running One UI 7 based on Android 15, and you can enjoy its new features and with many improvements on place. This makes sure that your experience gets improved.

If you still didn’t get the update for your device, wait for a few days or a few weeks, then check for updates again. If you still see “Your software is up to date,” this means that the update didn’t reach your region yet.

Note that the update process may take 15 to 20 minutes, and this can vary from device to device. The download process may incur extra charges if you’re using the cellular network as the update size is around 5 GB, depending on the device, so we recommend downloading it through Wi-Fi. Never interrupt the update process in any way, or problems may occur. Make sure that your phone gets charged before you initiate the installation process.

Ansonsten prima. Ideal um meine kleinen Nichten und Neffen sich künstlerisch entwickeln zu lassen :applause:
Die APP gibt es neben anderen von #SECUSO im F-Droid-Store.

@BrodieOnLinux About turning phone into camera, at least on #android ( #android15 ), you can just connect your phone to the computer with the cable, and select internet camera on the connection type, and then at least with #V4L2 you can use the phone in the #OBS. I saw there is beta of #pipewire camera integration, but it didnt yet for me.

I suppose Christian uses #iphone and (after quick search) #ContinuityCamera, and after another search it seems to be only be integrating with the #apple ecosystem :/ so #droidcam seems to be required in this case

Galaxy A56 no longer boots after a major One UI update

Samsung has recently released a revised One UI 7 update to the Galaxy A56 that features the Side Button for launching your assistant, with Google Gemini being set as the default. It also brought many improvements to the operating system, ensuring that you have the best experience when using your Galaxy A56. The update contained the AYDK build that was first rolled out to Korea before expanding to other countries.

Users began reporting the issue where their Galaxy A56 device no longer worked after installing the update, because it would get stuck at the loading screen. This happens especially for European users. The update would install successfully, but the phone would fail to start with the gears loading screen looping forever. This is a serious issue for everyday users, especially when business and many important assets are involved, but doesn’t affect everyone.

However, there is a fix for anyone that got affected by this issue. You’ll need to eject the SIM card from your phone. After that, force restart the device by holding the side button and the volume down button together until the device turns off. Finally, let the device load to the home screen, and you can put your SIM card back in. If you’re still experiencing problems, you can either try to reflash your ROM or take your phone to the service center.

In other news, I'm kinda pissed that the #Android15 update KO'd my analog clock widget. Had to fart around for an hour and finally download the Google clock widget that gave me a resizeable clock with transparent background. It's digital, though. MEH!
