Supertramp, Breakfast in America, 1979 on A&M.

Though I imagine it’s the one Supertramp album most folks could name, this was their sixth LP. It’s got “The Logical Song” “Goodbye Stranger” and “Take the Long Way Home” – all Billboard Top 100 singles.

Love the iconic cover with the twin towers of the World Trade Center and Kate Murtagh in statue-of-liberty-as-waitress pose. The labels and inner sleeve (diner menu style) are great too. Classic album of late seventies rock.

My copy, via Dyno Records in Newburyport MA, is a Columbia Record Club edition (note the CRC in the bottom right of the rear sleeve)

i usually just hear the same 2-3 people yammering on #CB when i'm here in #IOW, but over the last couple months i've got double as many GMRS/FRS stations and about a dozen new voices on #AM CB.

i don't usually hear FM which is a shame because man it sounds pretty great! but since i don't want to RELY on skip to be heard, maybe i can get away with just running coax and putting a pole up, that Galaxy takes a ton of counter space for my kitchen which doesn't have much to spare.

In today's #fuckshit with #mikrotik. Hardware is kinda Fire.. The way you guys do shit is weird! At the very least this shit is not for rest of us. VyOS software router didn't take this much brain power to get going. I finally got my network moved over to it. I needed to add bridge, vlans, vlan interfaces, trunk ports in bridges, add interfaces and vlan interfaces to bridges, add interfaces to interfaces lists to allow firewalls shit, add address pools, then dhcp servers, and then add networks ( which are not vlans). I still have not set up PBR. And before you come at me with this, "do you even network bro bullshit"!! NO! I don't.. I'm not sure this fucking thing networks without you getting drugged in in a foreign country for your kidneys!!

Now don't get me wrong( or get me all the way wrong)!!! The software is a POS 🤣 It's powerful, I'm sure! You just need to kill a baby unicorn goat! Then it fucks with ya!

Me vuelvo locker. Me estoy enterando ahora que lo que me quedaba de la radio, que es básicamente el noticiero con Santiago Díaz, el programa de la tarde con Wilmar Amaral (el ex programa de Blanca Rodriguez) y hasta el programa de Valentín Rodriguez Bausero, terminan porque parece que el Espectador 810 AM cierra y reabre en 2025 como una radio básicamente deportiva???. Ya estaba huérfano desde que me quitaron los programas maravillosos de la 1050AM (los cuales he mencionado antes) y ahora me quitan estos también? No te puedo creer. Es joda? In movies, there's always a green and a red wire. But not in reality. Here, the wires are all green and red striped. This guy thinks he's a comic. Or Santa's little helper, who knows. I don't care. I measured everything through, the only possibility is wire eight. I numbered them all, as usual. Nobody else is doing that anymore, they just clear the area, and then blow the thing with a remote gun. Not this time, too big. It's fucking shipping container, and it's radiating.
