#WorldArtDay is celebrated annually on April 15 to honor the contributions of artists and promote the importance of art in our lives.
It also marks the birthday of Leonardo da Vinci, who is regarded as one of the greatest artists of all time.
For #WorldArtDay some Paleolithic art, an #IceAge masterpiece from the Swabian Jura: a tiny (4.8 cm lenght) #horse carved in mammoth ivory some 40,000 years ago - the oldest known sculpture of a horse.

#PhotoOfTheDay: #Bodhisattva #Padmapani, found in Cave 1 of the #Ajanta #Caves, is probably the most famous Ajanta #Mural.
This large, life-size figure, holding a lotus flower, is considered a masterpiece of Indian art. The painting is known for its beauty, elegance, and the skill of the artist in portraying the bodhisattva.
Even though J. Walter Negro (otherwise known as the graffitti artist "Ali") crossed my mind for #WorldArtDay.
