With the way this game has been going, you'd think the game was being played in the Coors Field.

I want to say that tonight's Dodger win should've come at a much easier pace (too many squandered scoring opportunities), but hey, a win is a win. Just as a 16-0 loss is just a loss.
Welp, so much for getting Sasaki his first W.
Dodgers place Freddie Freeman on 10-day IL for his ailing ankle. He'll be eligible to return on April 10.
Dodgers go on a road trip to PHI and WAS til April 9, and start a 6-game homestand on April 11.
I suspect this IL stint is Dodgers' way of telling Freddie, "No, you're not playing on this road trip no matter how much you beg. Stay home and rest, PLEASE."

Dodgers are down 5-0 in the early going, and if this ends up being Dodgers' first loss of the season, Padres will become the only zero-loss team in the league, and take the #1 spot in the standings.
Gotta tip my hat to Padres' impressively hot start. Everyone, including myself, thought they would go downhill this year, but clearly Padres are proving naysayers wrong.
Dodger defense looking really shaky today. Snell has given up 3 runs already, and none are earned.
IS THE DREAM OF 162-0 GOING TO END TONIGHT?!???
Someone please tell me what's wrong with Mookie. Last I heard, even the doctors are flummoxed as to why Mookie can't keep food down. Doctors having no clue is the scariest part of it all.
In top 2nd, the home plate ump missed two ball-strike calls in a row during Max Muncy's at-bat, which was very obvious to the TV viewers thanks to the strike-zone rectangle overlay.
In the next inning, the MLB feed stopped showing that strike-zone rectangle overlay.
COINCIDENCE?????
2025 special jersey designs for Dodgers cultural heritage nights, which will be distributed to fans who bought the special ticket packages on their respective games.
Most years, I've often felt that these heritage jersey designs were meh at best. But I think Dodgers are finally getting the hang of it. They all look awesome!! (I wish I could get the Korean one!)
Dodgers organization clearly took Padres using the crying Kershaw meme really personally.
NGL, I didn't think Dodgers would *actually* sign Tanner Scott because his price tag was higher than Friedman's comfort zone for a reliever. Clearly Kasten and the gang are willing to fully embrace the "evil empire" persona.
The usual mantra of "WS or bust" has never been more literal.
My only point of concern for Hyeseong Kim signing is that this may not leave room for Kiké to come back.
I love having Korean homeboys in Dodger roster, but I don't want that at the expense of Kiké. Besides, Dodgers already have a Korean homeboy in Tommy Hyunsu Edman (half-Korean, and a member of Korean national team).
So yeah, I'm a bit split about Hyeseong's signing. I'll welcome him more wholeheartedly if Dodgers re-sign Kiké.
I did not see this coming, but Dodgers sign KBO's Hyeseong Kim (not to be confused with Ha-Seong Kim, formerly of Padres) to a 3-yr $12.5MM deal, with a 2-yr $9.5MM club option. He is basically a less developed, but younger and cheaper Ha-Seong Kim -- so-so bats, above-average infield defense, and great baserunning.
If he can prove he can hit at least league average, I can see him replace Lux.
Took long enough, but Teoscar is back with Dodgers!! Woohoo!!!
3 years $66-mil, $23-mil in signing bonus and roughly $23-mil in deferrals, plus a 4th year option (doesn't say whose option) worth $15-mil, according to MLBTR.
Absolute steal, if you ask me.
Now let's lock up the other Hernandez, Friedman!

A much needed win by Rams, and a tough loss by Chargers (but man, that Mahomes guy!).
And Mets sign Soto to a lolwtf deal, and Dodgers get Michael Conforto (ehh) and Blake Treinen (woohoo!!!).
I just hope signing Conforto doesn't preclude Dodgers re-signing Teoscar.
He is a gamble, not a sure thing. But that's true of any prospects.
Given that he's gonna cost only $10-mil total for the first three years (about $7-mil signing bonus, and then less than $1-mil annually for the first three years before he hits arbitration), Sasaki will be a low-risk high-reward gamble.

We already know of Sasaki's durability problem. We know he needs further refinement in command and pitch arsenal. Some in Japan even question his work ethic. This guy is still a work in progress.
He's gonna get lit up. He's gonna get injured. People will need to be patient with him.

Everybody expects Sasaki to turn the Dodger rotation into an invincible super-rotation next year.
I don't think that's where the expectation should be. I think it's appropriate to think of him more as an elite first-round draft pick, and less as an "immediate help" superstar.

My Dodgers offseason take:
- Everybody expects Roki Sasaki to sign with Dodgers. And so do I. On top of being a championship team and home to both Ohtani and Yamamoto, Dodgers have the best player development program in the world, and a proven track record of bringing the best out of pitchers. Sasaki would be a fool to choose any other team.
HOWEVER,
