M. Flipboard News Desk<p>Around 5 million people participated in last week's "No Kings" protests, according to the organizers. Next month, they're going to do it all again. The Transformative Justice Coalition has announced that the next protests will happen on July 17 in honor of the fifth anniversary of John Lewis's death. Spokesperson Barbara Arnwine said that they will focus on racial justice, voting rights, and "our continued and united fight for a just, inclusive and strong democracy that is our goal, that is our obligation in these times." BIG TROUBLE
Mastodon Post

Examples:

<> prices are rising
<> US economy is slowing
<> Tariffgate has put many on edge and it keeps not going away
<> United States is the laughing stock of the world because our president is a laughing stock
<> ICE is disappearing people and acting as Trump's vigilante force
<> individual legal rights are being chipped away
<> voting rights are being stolen
<> US dollar is in danger of losing its world currency status
<> Trump and his underlings, which amounts to nearly all Republicans, are trying to strip millions and millions of Americans of their health insurance SO THEY CAN GIVE MONEY TO THE WEALTHIEST PEOPLE AND CORPORATIONS BY WAY OF TOTALLY UNNEEDED TAX BREAKS

And with all of these things and more seriously hurting the country, according to today's news reports Trump's approval rating is going UP.

This says in the loudest terms that politicians and public figures, center to left, are not doing their jobs of talking to the American people, explaining issues, and acting as an actual opposition.
