Today I was in awe of this team of unpaid volunteers who, having already given up their bank holiday weekend, worked through dinner and into the night to ensure the continued uptime of a piece software that enables the listening service of emotional support and suicide helplines.

Did a bit more #volunteering this morning at this fab thing. My mate has a company (game design) and they all decamp from the office to do this in a town hall once a month. No money, no grants, no nonsense, just people being ace. Helped with some data recovery, set up an old fellas whatsapp profile image and helped someone with calendar sync issues. Fab!
I have never been so unprepared for the Sunday #museum animation. My focus is on the podcast scripting, I should actually be working on it today. I have no idea what I'm going to show later. And my #scrollBook is finished, I still don't have an idea for a new project.
Sometimes, #volunteering is hard, very hard.

At the play centre garden today I was happy to see just how everything is thriving and filling out.
I looked back at pictures taken in 2022 when I started volunteering and it is mind blowing how bare it was then.
The plants I put in around the teepee last week are still alive! I
Last night's adventures in junior gardening included teaching young scouts about how our homes are like hotels between natural areas, how beans and peas create fertilizer plus food, and that violets make great jelly and have exploding seed pods.
They planted pansies, violets, snap peas, and black beans to take home in recycled containers. Yay, Plants!
