@gkmizuno@mas.to It's not China squeezing the orange menace. Canadian Premier Carney organized Europe and Japan and then told the guy with mental health issues they were going to slowly sell all their bonds it he didn't straighten up and fly right. That first little dip was a small demonstration.

It is unreasonable to have a washing machine in the motorhome. So then, how do we wash our clothes? Interestingly it is easier than doing it at home.

Tak mám doma svého Spoďára! Byl v servisu od listopadu: Výměna automatické převodovky za manuál. Takže teď mám šaltpáku, považte, pětirychlostní. Automat měl ty rychlosti pouze čtyři. Sakum prásk mě výměna rychlostní skříně vyšla na 105.000. Slíbil jsem sám sobě, že je to poslední investice do tohohle vozu. Tak snad vydrží, příští rok mu bude 25 let, bude mít nárok na označení "veterán".

The forecast calls for a few days of rain and snow so I found a deal on a sweet cabin in the Catskills. A hot shower, a clothes washer, a full kitchen, mains power, and a fiber net connection is ding dang lux!
Once the van is complete it'll be easier to weather these relatively mild storms.
In related news, I'm considering a big purchase: one of those 8 person canvas tents used at semi-permanent camps. I'd leave it up Spring through Fall and store it when I snowbird.

Ich fürchte, hier liegen unterschiedliche Defintionen von #vanlife vor...
Vanlife, weil man sich keine andere Wohnung leisten kann, ist schrecklich.
Vanlife, mit freiwilligem Verzicht auf eine "feste" Wohnung, ist ökologisch und sozial bedenklich, da der "Lebensunterhalt" im Wohnmobil extrem ineffizient ist.
Hier ist aber die Rede von Vanlife im Sinne "Wir haben vor unserer Wohnung ein WoMo stehen, dafür fliegen wir nicht mehr und glauben, das wäre nachhaltig."

Im Prinzip ein volles ja, aber …
Für immer mehr Leute ist inzwischen aber so ne Wohnkiste die einzige Möglichkeit noch an bezahlbaren Wohnraum zu kommen. Und die Trailer Parcs in DE platzen so langsam aus allen Nähten.
Der massige Anstieg der Verelendung in der Lebenssituation von immer mehr Mitmenschen lässt sich so auch fein kaschieren.
Aus den Augen aus dem Sinn!
